Description: A gather of clear glass is pulled from the crucible and seven colors of glass cane are applied using a torch. A second gather of clear casing glass is applied and the entire piece is held with a pair of steel jacks while the piece is twisted: a torch is used to maintain temperature and pliability. The now twisted glass is returned to the furnace and brought back to high temperature softening the tooling marks and preparing the piece for final shaping. 4" L x 7.5" W
